About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives.
Manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function.
Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
Foster and guide compliance, ensuring regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
Shape and deliver a forward-looking audit strategy covering the end-to-end AI lifecycle.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires hands-on experience in AI implementation, combined with deep expertise in AI governance, ethics, and risk management.
Expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function.
Knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives.
Negotiating with and influencing stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
Extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group.
