About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive continuous improvement of HSE performance by implementing corporate management systems and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct and support comprehensive ergonomic assessments of workstations.
- Partner with engineering, production, and maintenance to design and improve workstations integrating ergonomic and safety principles.
- Coach managers and supervisors on their HSE responsibilities while promoting ergonomic best practices.
- Facilitate risk assessments, monitor action plans, and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations and conduct Root Cause Analyses incorporating human factors into recommendations.
- Plan and lead continuous improvement projects while monitoring key performance indicators.
- Support daily administrative documentation to ensure accurate HSE KPI tracking and reporting.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Expertise in ergonomics is considered a strong asset.
- Relevant experience in occupational health and safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of Root Cause Analysis methodologies (RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical, sustainable, and measurable solutions.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a unionized environment.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, technical presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and analytical software (e.g., advanced Excel, ergonomic assessment tools, HSE management software).
