About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a district sales team responsible for distributor, contractor, OEM, named account, and industrial sales groups.
  • Ensure the team meets volume growth, price quality/margin, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives through excellent customer relations and increasing market share.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews, create employee development plans, and drive technical and professional training initiatives.
  • Manage and optimize sales performance through balanced scorecard tracking, share growth initiatives, monthly distributor reviews, and coaching sales teams on strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Oversee channel partner and distributor management by reviewing business plans, evaluating partner performance, and enforcing ABB distributor policies.
  • Drive strategic account growth and customer relationships by managing top local accounts and strengthening engagement with key named accounts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business, Marketing, or STEM.
  • Minimum of 8 years selling into electrical or heavy industrial markets with a focus on distribution is a must.
  • Senior Account Management experience within the industry is a must.
  • Experience in roles such as product management / marketing, custom manufacturing solutions center (CMSC), supply chain, operations, engineering, or program management.
  • Sales experience of a $15M+ business.
