About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Improving the performance, reliability, and capability of manufacturing equipment and tooling across roll forming, press operations, automation, and assembly processes
- Leading the design, improvement, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to reduce downtime, improve quality, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Identifying and resolving equipment and process issues, enhancing system capability, and supporting new product introduction
- Leading capital projects, supporting automation integration, and ensuring equipment and tooling solutions are robust, efficient, and scalable
- Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to drive sustainable performance improvements and alignment on continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical (preferred), Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, with significant exposure to roll forming and press processes
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiar with Lean tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently
- Experience with roll forming mills and tooling design (flower design, pass progression, cutoff tooling)
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and inline quality systems
- Lean/Six Sigma certification
