About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define low voltage energy use cases and lead development and decomposition of system performance requirements
- Define and own various low voltage system features, driving their implementation through Feature Technical Specification
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from system requirements and targets to validation artifacts
- Analyze status to low voltage energy targets, identify gaps and tradeoffs, and lead corrective actions
- Lead complex technical decisions involving low voltage power consumption, optimization strategies, buy-offs, and escalations
- Develop, maintain, and communicate high-quality technical documentation and system specifications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 7+ years of engineering experience in embedded controls, systems engineering, requirements or architecture development, or complex electrical distribution systems
- Experience analyzing, estimating, and reducing low voltage power consumption of vehicle components, ECUs, and features
- Ability to process large amounts of information flow
- General understanding of vehicle electrical architectures, communication protocols, and ECU wakeup strategies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments
- Demonstrated ability of leading cross-functional teams and building relationships in difficult circumstances
- Solid understanding of the major vehicle systems
- Deep knowledge of Systems Engineering principles
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software and hardware requirements and interfaces.
