About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a team of 10+ engineers who perform ergonomic virtual assessments and validate ergonomic standards and requirements for global product programs
- Establish bench strength by recruiting, training, and developing engineers to meet business objectives
- Contribute to strategic 3–5-year planning and develop the team from both organizational and technical perspectives
- Ensure team deliverables are executed on time and that leadership is informed of status and any issues
- Establish performance goals, conduct reviews, coach and mentor team members, and provide feedback
- Manage team workload, support resource planning, and forecast and track budgets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering (OEM or Tier 1 supplier)
- Hands-on experience in ergonomic assessments/simulations and manufacturing engineering applications preferred
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, materials, and operations
- Hands-on experience with CAD, Teamcenter, and other Manufacturing Engineering tools
- Hands-on experience with VisMockup, Process Simulate, Vis Jack, or Classic Jack for 3D human modeling simulations (advanced computer skills preferred)
- Knowledge of collaboration, data management, and analytics tools such as SharePoint and Power BI
- Working knowledge of Work Standardization and Workplace Safety Systems
- Proven skills in Agile project management
- Ability to work with cross-cultural, multidisciplinary, and remote teams to achieve functional goals, including AI-led transformation initiatives
