About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct technical SEO and GEO audits of GM’s websites
- Partner with development teams for technical recommendations
- Monitor technical issues impacting search experiences
- Track and report on key performance metrics
- Develop dashboards and reports for GEO + SEO performance
- Support execution of outputs from GEO/SEO tools
- Conduct in-depth keyword, topic, and entity research
- Evaluate GM content in generative AI search engines
- Provide GEO + SEO best practices for new website content
- Collaborate on development of page templates and experience patterns
- Maintain documentation and contribute to GEO/SEO roadmap
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of dedicated SEO experience
- Demonstrated understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- Proven track record of driving measurable organic growth
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with website migrations and redesigns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, self-starter mentality
