About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the end‑to‑end management of strategic IT vendors, including onboarding, performance management, renewals, and exits, to ensure reliable and cost‑effective technology services.
  • Establish and govern vendor performance through SLAs, KPIs, scorecards, and regular business reviews, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with IT service owners, sourcing, procurement, finance, and legal teams to align vendor strategies with business and technology roadmaps.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate vendor‑related risks, including operational, financial, cybersecurity, and compliance risks, in alignment with enterprise policies.
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions to optimize cost, value, and service outcomes across the vendor portfolio.
  • Drive standardization of vendor management processes, tools, and reporting across Technology Services.
  • Lead and develop vendor management team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Provide executive‑level insights and reporting on vendor performance, risks, and financials to IT and business leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in IT, vendor management, sourcing, or technology services, with demonstrated accountability for vendor performance and outcomes.
  • Proven experience managing strategic IT vendors in a global or matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT service delivery models, including managed services, cloud, infrastructure, and application services.
  • Experience working with IT service management frameworks, metrics, and performance reporting (e.g., ITSM concepts, SLAs, KPIs).
  • Ability to assess vendor technology capabilities, security posture, and operational resilience in partnership with technical teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting contract negotiations, cost optimization, and value realization.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear vendor expectations and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across IT, business, and external partners.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting regulated industries such as healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences.
  • Preferred: Experience working with global sourcing models and vendors across multiple geographies.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with financial management of IT services, including budgeting and chargeback/showback models.
  • Preferred: Experience driving vendor consolidation or transformation initiatives.
  • Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (estimated up to 10-20%).
  • Certifications: (e.g., ITIL, Vendor Management, Project Management) are preferred.
