About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet or exceed sales expectations within assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner
- Understand and identify customer needs, aligning marketing resources and supporting pull-through activities
- Embody and communicate Intra-Cellular’s corporate vision
- Develop superior product and disease state knowledge
- Engage in in-depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals
- Create local strategic and tactical plans
- Provide effective application of budget and expense management within assigned territory
- Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives
- Provide timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, and customer objectives
- Complete all company and job-related training as assigned within required timelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Must have 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience required
- Previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred
- Antipsychotic and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus
- Must have strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers
- Must act with high integrity and always in accordance with the Company’s Compliance policies and procedures
- Must have strong sense of self-motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurial thirst
- Must have excellent decision-making judgment, strong teaming/collaboration and cross-functional skills
- Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and diagnose performance issues
- Must have strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to a diverse customer audience.
- Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside of normal working hours
- Some domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings will also be required on a periodic basis.
