About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide senior leadership for security strategy, operations, and risk management across the Asia‑Pacific region
- Oversee physical security, travel security, crisis management, and incident response across APAC markets
- Assess and mitigate regional security risks, including geopolitical, operational, and site‑specific threats
- Serve as the primary security advisor to regional leadership, providing risk insights and strategic guidance
- Lead and develop regional security teams and external security partners
- Establish governance, standards, and metrics to ensure consistent security practices across the region
- Partner with Legal, HR, Supply Chain, IT, and Business leaders to support secure operations and business continuity
- Manage investigations, executive protection, security incidents, and crisis response activities
- Support transformation, separation, and change initiatives impacting security operations in APAC and China
- Manage regional security budgets, resources, and vendor relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field (required)
- Typically 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, risk management, or related leadership roles
- Proven experience leading regional or global security programs, preferably across APAC and China
- Strong understanding of geopolitical risk, crisis management, and security operations in complex markets
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and operate effectively in a matrixed organization
- Experience managing third‑party security providers and external stakeholders
- Strong leadership, judgment, and decision‑making capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- English proficiency required; Mandarin or other APAC languages preferred.
