About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides strategic leadership for healthcare compliance within a highly dynamic and regulated environment.
  • Enables compliant and sustainable growth across DePuy Synthes’ Joints & Digital and Commercial Excellence businesses.
  • Responsible for Government Contract Compliance (GCC).
  • Advises on complex business initiatives, commercialization strategies, medical affairs activities, and emerging business models.
  • Actively participates in relevant business leadership teams, embedding compliance perspectives early into strategy development and execution discussions.
  • Ensures the Compliance Program effectively corrects, prevents, and detects violations of laws, regulations, and policies; and implements corrective actions as needed.
  • Builds partnerships with senior management to maintain an appropriate culture of compliance and drive a sustainable compliance program.
  • Oversees follow-up and resolution of investigations generated by the program, as directed by legal counsel.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops a team of high-performing compliance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 10–12 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, regulatory, or risk management roles, preferably within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supporting complex, matrixed commercial organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare laws and regulations (e.g., Anti ‑ Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Sunshine Act).
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive compliant business decisions in fast ‑ paced environments.
  • Experience leading teams and managing cross ‑ functional initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks, due diligence, monitoring, and operational risk management.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and executive presence.
  • Other Language: English (required).
