About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • We are looking for a dynamic sales leader that can motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results.
  • In this position you will manage the sales and clinical teams for their assigned territory and nurture our culture of trust, honor, and integrity.
  • You will also manage and partner with the Region Clinical Manager who is responsible for oversight and direction of the clinical consultant team members.
  • You must showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies that result in the achievement of sales goals.
  • Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives.
  • Lead/manage the Region Clinical Manager, collaborating with them on the direction and development of the region clinical consultant team members.
  • Directs the sales performance in specified region.
  • Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance.
  • Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts.
  • Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales.
  • Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects.
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments within the organizations in order to support region growth.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • A Master’s or Advanced Degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 5+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space is required
  • A minimum of 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or 2+ years of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience is required
  • Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members; exhibits ability to lead a diverse team with strong emotional intelligence is required
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external is required
  • Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment is required
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results required
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) is required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
  • Working knowledge of business analytics tools is preferred
  • Ability to travel 70% within assigned area is required
