About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for DePuy Synthes orthopedic systems, including installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Partner with Commercial and Sales teams to support product demonstrations, clinical evaluations, and customer onboarding activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in hospital and clinical environments, ensuring minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
  • Execute preventive maintenance, upgrades, and corrective actions in compliance with company quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, service reports, and field test records to support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to customers and internal partners on proper system use and care.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to escalate product issues and support product enhancements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline)
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in field service engineering, technical service, or a comparable customer-facing engineering role
  • Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting complex electromechanical or medical devices
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices
  • Physical ability to handle and transport equipment (including lifting up to approximately 25 kg / 55 lbs)
  • Portuguese required; English proficiency preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required for customer site visits
