About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Visit ophthalmic surgeons in hospitals and practices
- Provide information and demonstrate J&J Vision Surgical cataract medical products and systems and instruct surgeons on their handling
- Establish and maintain close contact with ophthalmic surgeons within the defined territory
- Engage with key opinion leaders
- Execute marketing strategies and programs in line with the company’s strategic direction
- Advise OR staff as needed regarding the use of J&J Vision Surgical medical products
- Prepare an annual plan for sales/revenue and costs
- Be responsible for administrative processes within the defined territory
- Organize and conduct training events for surgeons, referrers and OR staff, and participate in congresses, workshops and seminars
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed training or a degree with a medical, ophthalmic-optician or commercial focus
- Preferably several years of professional experience and success in selling to physicians, ideally in ophthalmology or with consultative (medical) products
- Ideally knowledge of reimbursement systems in ophthalmology/medicine
- Solid business/financial knowledge and skill in presenting and negotiating complex product portfolios
- Experience maintaining and using Customer Relationship Management systems daily, proactively documenting potential new business according to segmentation lists, and the ability to plan and document complex sales strategies thoroughly
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to travel/commitment
- Very good MS Office skills
- Good English skills
