About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems
Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment
Record equipment readings and system parameters
Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
Maintain responsibility for facility services, purchasing and inventory control
Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory
Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems
Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures
Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
Ability to analyze the operation of various industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems
Working knowledge of CMMS (i.e. Corrigo)
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lay as required to access equipment components
Ability to work exposed to varying environmental conditions including heat, sunlight, rain, cold, and both daylight and nighttime hours
EPA 608 Type II Certification or higher for refrigerant handling (preferred)
Additional EPA certifications (Universal certification preferred) (preferred)
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) (preferred)
Trade certifications or technical school training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing disciplines (preferred)
