About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment
  • Record equipment readings and system parameters
  • Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
  • Maintain responsibility for facility services, purchasing and inventory control
  • Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory
  • Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures
  • Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
  • Ability to analyze the operation of various industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Working knowledge of CMMS (i.e. Corrigo)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lay as required to access equipment components
  • Ability to work exposed to varying environmental conditions including heat, sunlight, rain, cold, and both daylight and nighttime hours
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification or higher for refrigerant handling (preferred)
  • Additional EPA certifications (Universal certification preferred) (preferred)
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) (preferred)
  • Trade certifications or technical school training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing disciplines (preferred)
