About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop a team of Mechanical and Electrical Tradesmen, optimizing their capabilities through skills development, proper tools, and technology deployment.
  • Manage vendor relationships with OEM and outside service providers, ensuring compliance with Management of Change (MOC) and Safety Contract Management (SCM) processes.
  • Oversee work order management through Corrigo and Maximo systems, prioritizing preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and minor projects.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical control systems on critical lab equipment, providing technical guidance and hands-on support.
  • Deliver Fast Response reporting for customer disruptions, coordinate weekend and holiday shutdown planning through the Interruption Process.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial facility environment with demonstrated technical proficiency.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience managing maintenance personnel in a represented worker environment with knowledge of collective bargaining agreement operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems including general HVAC, motor and pump systems, piping systems, electrical systems, and general building repair.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with demonstrated progression in maintenance and leadership roles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different audiences and present complex technical information clearly.
