About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess fiber redundancy and resiliency builds based on existing network designs
  • Design fiber paths for hub moves, new hub builds, and network expansion
  • Create and support CRAN overbuild projects, including preliminary design development
  • Develop cost models and preliminary designs for fiber connectivity to datacenters
  • Create and support backbone connectivity projects and associated preliminary designs
  • Manage project lifecycle from intake through design handoff and completion
  • Collaborate with Design, Construction, and ISO teams to execute network projects
  • Develop and manage budgets for redundancy and resiliency builds
  • Support break/fix activities and assist with network incident resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 Years Relevant Work Experience
  • Network Engineering – ability to understand and interpret high-level network designs and architecture
  • Fiber Design – experience designing fiber paths for hub relocations, new hubs, and backbone connectivity
  • Fiber Optic Troubleshooting – ability to support break/fix activities and diagnose network resiliency issues
  • Project Management – ability to intake requirements, manage, track, and deliver projects end-to-end
  • Cost Modeling & Budgeting – experience developing preliminary cost models and managing budgets for redundancy builds
  • Communication – strong vertical and horizontal communication skills with leadership, construction, and cross-functional teams
  • Documentation – ability to document processes, project updates, and technical decisions clearly for downstream teams.
