Full-stack Engineer

• Own delivery end to end: plan and execute work across one or more quarters, set clear goals with your team and hold them to account, and make sure work ships reliably, sustainably, and in full.
• Lead, grow, and mentor the team: develop ~3 engineers (in a cross-functional team of ~5) in their craft and quality of execution, support their career growth, and guide architecture, decision-making, and technical scaffolding - setting the standard for communication, accountability, and engineering culture. Your technical leadership and influence lifts others building on RVO too, including Customer Success - beyond your direct reports.
• Stay hands-on where you multiply the team: contribute to system design and architectural decisions, and write and review production-quality code across performance-critical, data-intensive components. This isn't a hands-off role: you'll lead best by understanding the substance.
• Own the technical core of RVO: Balance what lives in our core engineering platform versus the application layer, so the solution stays performant, flexible, and maintainable as it grows.
• Work with complex, large-scale data: shape the ingestion and data structures that synthesise disparate sources (GIS, LiDAR, asset condition, historical failures) with a rich geospatial library, across very large networks.
• Partner across the business, and look ahead: work closely with Product, Deployment, Customer Success, and Sales, and get in front of customers to understand the problems utilities face. Spot the platform capabilities other teams own that RVO will depend on, and line them up before your team needs them.
• Raise the bar across engineering: influence best practices, tooling, and long-term platform direction, and help scale Neara's engineering culture as we grow.

Tech Lead Manager, Risk & Value Optimisation

Data Engineer

• Contribute to the end-to-end deployment of the Neara platform for utility customers worldwide.
• Ingest and manipulate massive datasets (LiDAR, GIS, and asset databases) using Neara’s schema language and configuration framework.
• Perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure the digital twin accurately reflects real-world physics and customer specifications.
• Build custom reports and dashboards within the platform to drive actionable insights for utility engineers.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to provide feedback on process and tool improvements to speed up future deployments.

Architect

• Develop a strong understanding of, and proficiency with, the Neara software platform in order to translate its functionality and value to customers.
• Work directly and closely with customers, including meaningful time on-site with customers to:
• Drive and embed the use of the Neara platform by customers, including enabling the customer’s ability to proficiently use the platform to ensure customer ease of adoption and use throughout their organisation.
• Ensure that Neara solutions adopted by customers are being delivered as contractually scoped and are delivering on identified business outcomes.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer strategic imperatives and business goals in order to provide clear guidance on where Neara solutions can enable or enhance.
• Serve as a trusted commercial and technical advisor to customers, ensuring Neara solutions are fully embedded within their business, including with respect to workflow or change management requirements that sit outside the core Neara scope.
• Collaborate with customers to define and deliver business cases and related ROI metrics, in support of the value delivered by Neara solutions, including established cadences around internal reporting and value delivery reviews.
• Identify opportunities for customers to expand their use and adoption of the Neara platform into other solutions through the identification of additional business drivers or pain points that Neara can help solve.
• Identify and actively engage a broad stakeholder audience within customers to ensure close and trusted relationships, built on credibility, authenticity and transparency.
• Collaborate closely with Neara Sales and Deployment teams to drive customer happiness, platform adoption, growth, and consistent and measurable adoption and value demonstration frameworks.
