About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

structural modification stress analysis and manufacturing engineering supporting a high paced development effort
analyze, research and develop structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design
analyze damage tolerance, durability of metal and composite airframe structures
provide stress analysis for primary and secondary structure
review completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
maintain and improve part designs, equipment, and systems in support of production deliveries
develop solutions to difficult problems that are thorough, imaginative, practical, and consistent with program objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in Engineering, OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in Engineering
Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
Experience in Metallic Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models
Experience using PATRAN, or FEMAP
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
