About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic technology planning, partnering with leadership to define long-term architecture roadmaps aligned with OCHIN’s clinical, operational, and business goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and consultant on complex design, architecture, and support challenges.
  • Design and implement strategic solutions to meet both internal and external needs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend adoption strategies that enhance care delivery and system performance.
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding teams through planning, development, and deployment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to diagnose and resolve complex system issues while enhancing system efficiency and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and clinical outcomes.
  • Lead technical escalations, providing expert-level support across Epic EMR and enterprise/vendor systems to maintain operational continuity.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance models to ensure consistency, scalability, and security across solutions.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and modernization.
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6 years’ experience with Epic application administration, that includes strong knowledge of Epic build, enhancements, and workflow.
  • 3 years’ experience or Epic certification in two or more of the following Epic modules is required: EpicCare Ambulatory, Radiant, ASAP, HIM, Prelude, Cadence, Hello World, Security, Identity, and Interconnect
  • 3 years’ experience integrating external applications using SMART on FHIR, SAML, XML, Epic Private APIs, or device integration required
  • 2 years’ experience developing custom Epic code, or Epic Chronicles Database Programmer certification
  • Experience in healthcare management preferred.
  • Experience in organizational management with the ability to work across teams to develop and execute operational projects preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills preferred.
