About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and close new commercial lending opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Represent Santander professionally at industry events
- Partner with Credit teams and Senior Business Development Officers for loan proposals
- Prepare clear and concise deal briefing memoranda
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of prospects and activities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of lending, business development, or commercial banking experience
- Commercial lending and business development expertise
- Relationship management and client acquisition skills
- Strong financial analysis and proficiency with financial calculations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory as required
