About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive programs for a consumer electronic device from concept to delivery as a system engineering project manager
- Create hardware project schedules that align with product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times, and business needs
- Communicate with hardware and software engineering, product management, and operations
- Plan milestones, anticipate setbacks, and support troubleshooting and/or contingency plans
- Drive best practices and production processes in a fast-paced production setting
- Document and execute on product specifications and test plans
- Develop business relationships with external partners and vendors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company
- Approximately 25% travel, including international
- Expert in schedule creation and management for hardware products
- Ability to design experiments (DOE) for hardware build configurations and hardware build management
- Proficient with materials planning and lead times for hardware builds
- Skilled at risk identification and mitigation across hardware
