About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Bring deep knowledge and thought leadership to support the engineering team
  • Review junior engineer’s drawings, specifications, and other deliverables
  • Apply buildings engineering and project management knowledge on key projects
  • Act as a QC and/or Independent Technical reviewer on Electrical Engineering projects
  • Develop and support a team of electrical engineers
  • Hold team members accountable for technical excellence and delivery standards
  • Manage quality control processes for Electrical Engineering projects
  • Ensure compliance with best practices and maintain awareness of operational changes in the industry

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Comprehensive understanding of building project components, project management and delivery systems
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems for Healthcare, Science and Technology, Commercial/Workplace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fundamental understanding of NFPA codes as they apply to hospitals and medical office buildings
  • Deep knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems and healthcare technology systems
  • Experience in identifying and managing project risks
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 25+ years of related professional experience
  • Professional Engineering license required
