About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a team of design professionals and technicians
Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams
Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships
Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
Perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned wastewater-related projects
Develop project management plans for projects; establish goals and objectives for unique and complex projects
Conduct and/or coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Environmental, Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment, with a focus on conveyance and water infrastructure design.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
Experience and expertise with the design of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas.
Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
Understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements.
Experience with the design of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 24-inches in diameter and larger.
