About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a team of design professionals and technicians
- Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams
- Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships
- Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects
- Research and understand issues related to regulatory and other drivers that impact individual projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering in environmental, civil engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment, with a focus on conveyance and water infrastructure design
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
- Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Understanding of construction methods for sewer and water infrastructure, including open-cut and trenchless (microtunneling, jack and bore, etc.)
- Experience and expertise with the design of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas
- Experience with the design of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 24-inches in diameter and larger
