About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a team of design professionals and technicians
Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams
Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships
Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects
Research and understand issues related to regulatory and other drivers that impact individual projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering in environmental, civil engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment, with a focus on conveyance and water infrastructure design
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months
Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings
Understanding of construction methods for sewer and water infrastructure, including open-cut and trenchless (microtunneling, jack and bore, etc.)
Experience and expertise with the design of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas
Experience with the design of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 24-inches in diameter and larger
