About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support business development efforts by contributing technical input to pursuits aligned with the studio, sector, and firm strategy
- Lead electrical design for commercial building facilities
- Organize and deliver electrical engineering work for assigned projects
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project requirements are met
- Mentor and support engineers and designers through task guidance, work review, informal feedback, and a culture of technical excellence and accountability
- Stay current with evolving electrical engineering regulations, technologies, and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in delivering electrical engineering designs within the civic, electrical transportation, higher education, commercial, and/or industrial sectors
- Experience organizing electrical design work for straightforward to moderately complex building projects
- Experience mentoring junior staff
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including California building codes
- Exceptional technical understanding and working knowledge of electrical building systems & site infrastructure
- Familiarity with Healthcare, Higher Education, DSA, commercial building electrification
- Functional knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
