About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support business development efforts by contributing technical input to pursuits aligned with the studio, sector, and firm strategy
Lead electrical design for commercial building facilities
Organize and deliver electrical engineering work for assigned projects
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project requirements are met
Mentor and support engineers and designers through task guidance, work review, informal feedback, and a culture of technical excellence and accountability
Stay current with evolving electrical engineering regulations, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in delivering electrical engineering designs within the civic, electrical transportation, higher education, commercial, and/or industrial sectors
Experience organizing electrical design work for straightforward to moderately complex building projects
Experience mentoring junior staff
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive mindset with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including California building codes
Exceptional technical understanding and working knowledge of electrical building systems & site infrastructure
Familiarity with Healthcare, Higher Education, DSA, commercial building electrification
Functional knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
