About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conducts a wide range of power systems modelling and analysis, including power flow, short circuit, post-transient, and transient stability studies.
- Prepares scripts and programming to assist with the automation of simulations, compilation of results, and analysis.
- Prepares study reports, identifying assumptions, methodology, analysis, and results.
- Participates in meetings with clients to review project progress and present results and recommendations.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients throughout project execution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Understanding of electrical power system and power electronics theory.
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Experience with PSS/E required, experience with PSLF preferred.
- Experience with other power system simulation tools would be considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively explain and discuss solutions with clients.
- Self-motivated and able to collaborate with other engineers and engineers-in-training.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, including courses related to power system studies and analysis.
