About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conducts a wide range of power systems modelling and analysis, including power flow, short circuit, post-transient, and transient stability studies.
  • Prepares scripts and programming to assist with the automation of simulations, compilation of results, and analysis.
  • Prepares study reports, identifying assumptions, methodology, analysis, and results.
  • Participates in meetings with clients to review project progress and present results and recommendations.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients throughout project execution.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Understanding of electrical power system and power electronics theory.
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Experience with PSS/E required, experience with PSLF preferred.
  • Experience with other power system simulation tools would be considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively explain and discuss solutions with clients.
  • Self-motivated and able to collaborate with other engineers and engineers-in-training.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, including courses related to power system studies and analysis.
