About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Completes field inspections and related responsibilities such as reading maps and aerial photos
- Measuring fields, storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers on complex claims
- Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people on claim situations
- Performs fact finding regarding crop damage, records information and transmits loss information
- Completes claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned
- Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained with 180 days of hire date
- Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
