About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide practical legal advice and day-to-day support across Zurich Cover-More & BOXX’s operations, focusing on the Canadian business
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on various commercial agreements, including vendor, partner, broker, technology, and service arrangements
  • Support insurance, licensing, regulatory, compliance, and governance matters across multiple jurisdictions
  • Partner with business leaders to identify legal risks, solve problems, and support strategic initiatives
  • Assist with privacy, marketing, product, underwriting, and customer-facing legal matters as they arise
  • Coordinate with internal and external counsel on litigation, disputes, regulatory inquiries, and specialized legal projects
  • Work across diverse legal matters, providing broad exposure to the business and opportunities for continued professional growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-7 years of legal experience with a strong foundation in corporate, commercial, insurance, regulatory, or financial services matters
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly assess issues, identify risks, and provide practical business-focused solutions
  • Confidence working independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues
  • Growth mindset and willingness to take on new areas of law and unfamiliar challenges
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in insurance, travel insurance, cyber, technology, financial services, or other regulated industries is a strong asset
